International superstar Celine Dion has canceled all her concert tours scheduled until April 2024 to continue receiving treatment for a rare neurological disorder.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint you all again,” the singer said in a statement to the Associated Press. “I’m really working hard to get my strength back, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re at your best 100 percent. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing.” Performances, and although it breaks my heart, we’d better cancel everything now until I’m really ready to get back on stage again.”

In all, 42 Dion concerts have been canceled in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Austria, England, Scotland and Ireland.

Earlier this year, Dion said that “stiff person syndrome” was causing her contractions, affecting her ability to walk and sing. “Unfortunately, the spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when walking and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I used to,” she added.

Stiff person syndrome causes muscle stiffness and painful muscle spasms, and can appear during situations such as loud noises or light contact. The cause is still unknown, but it is believed to be an autoimmune disorder. Severe cases can cause difficulty walking and bending.

Winner of five Grammy Awards and two Academy Awards, Dion is among the best-selling female artists of all time, behind Madonna, Rihanna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. She had hits with hit songs such as “I’m Alive” (I’m Alive) and “My Heart Will Go On” (My Heart Will Go On).
