Manchester United will enter the Premier League against Liverpool, without Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who was put on the bench by coach Eric Ten Hag.
The club announced the starting lineup to participate in the team’s match against Liverpool, which was devoid of Ronaldo, who recently sparked controversy by declaring that he “will reveal the truth” within weeks, after a busy summer, in which he announced his desire to leave the club, and he did not receive an offer from another club.
Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag, who is facing great pressure after losing the first two matches, decided not to rely on Ronaldo against Liverpool, and to resort to an attacking line made up of Englishman Marcus Rashford, Sweden’s Ilanga and England’s Gaydon Sancho.
Ronaldo is expected to participate in the match as a substitute in the second half.
The Dutch coach also decided to yield to great pressure, and to remove team captain Harry Maguire from the starting lineup, after the severe criticism that affected the player recently.
Manchester United is facing great pressure because of its defeat in the first two matches in the league, which raised demands for the management’s resignation.
