Centric User Association’s response to news of takeover

User association Centric pleased with the acquisition of Centric by Dutch consortium

“On July 15, 2024, we received the message that an agreement had been reached on the acquisition of the subsidiaries of Centric Holding by a Dutch consortium led by Imker Capital Investments. The sale brings an end to a turbulent and difficult period at this important IT supplier for many government institutions.

The consortium consists of Dutch parties that have demonstrated that they have thoroughly studied Centric’s products and services and their importance to the government. The Consortium has indicated that it will continue the company as a single entity for at least 10 years and will use its own capital to provide an impetus to the further development of Centric’s products and services. Two commissioners will be appointed with the task of monitoring the commitments for continuity and investments, as agreed upon in the sale.

The association is pleased that this takeover will bring an end to this period for the customers of Centric’s services, but certainly also for the management and staff of Centric. We expect that this step will release new energy to serve Centric’s customers even better. We thank Peter Wakkie for his commitment to the continuity of Centric.”
