In Chad, 80 minors arrested during the demonstrations once morest the extension of the transition on October 20 were granted conditional release on Thursday December 8. Held in Koro Toro high security prison since their arrest, they were brought back to the capital a few days ago before being released and returning to their families, for the most part.

The seven buses chartered to transport the 80 prisoners left the Kléssoum prison this Thursday at the end of the morning, east exit of Ndjamena, in the direction of the social center number 9 of the capital. This center is located in Diguel on the north side.
In addition to lawyers appointed by the bar, representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the International Red Cross and the United Nations Children’s Fund were there to monitor the operation.
As soon as they arrived, the majority of the young people were picked up by members of their families alerted by the rumor which spread like wildfire.
From a legal point of view, the case is not over, since the investigating judge only granted provisional release at the request of the lawyers. He will have to communicate the conclusions of his investigation to the public prosecutor for observations and we will know from this moment if the case is closed or if the defendants will be judged.
