Champions League: Barça loses after referee trouble at Inter – Seoane before Leverkusen-Aus

What a wild game in Milan. FC Barcelona conceded a bitter 1-0 away defeat against Inter Milan in the hammer group and quarreled violently with the referee. Reason for this: Pedris (61st) supposed equalizer was denied because of a wafer-thin offside position after VAR intervention and in added time there was no last-minute penalty after a delicate hand scene from Inters Dumfries (90 + 3rd). Meanwhile, the winning goal for Milan came from Calhanoglu (45+2.) with a dry shot in the corner at the end of the first half.

Porto – Leverkusen 2:0

Leverkusen coach Gerry Seoane is about to be eliminated. So he desperately needed a win against Porto – which he didn’t manage to do. The Germans lost 2-0 after goals from Zaidu Sanusi and Galeno. Bitter for the Swiss coach: The first goal was tenable. The defeat is bitter, Seoane’s team was the better team for long stretches of the game. There were also crazy scenes in the first half. The Portuguese celebrated a goal, but the referee decided on a penalty for Bayer because of a hand in advance. Porto raged – for no reason, because Patrik Schick missed. After the defeat, Seoane definitely has to tremble for his job.

Brugge – Atletico 2:0

Atlético Madrid lost 2-0 to Club Brugge on Tuesday night. Thanks to the win, the Belgians are at the top of a terrific group without conceding a goal and are surprising leaders ahead of Porto, Leverkusen and Madrid. Among other things, Atlético’s Antoine Griezmann shot a penalty against the crossbar (77th).

Ajax – Napoli 1: 6

There is a colossal smack for Ajax Amsterdam. The Dutch champions come under the margins in the home game against Napoli with 1: 6. It actually got off to a fantastic start for Ajax, because Kudus (9th) scored early on to give the home side the lead. The Serie A leaders hit back a little later. First Raspadori (18′) equalized to make it 1-1, then di Lorenzo (33′) and Zielinski (45′) increased to a comfortable 3-1 lead before the break. After the break, there was hardly any resistance from Ajax. Raspadori (47′) first put together his brace, then Kvaratskhelia increased it to 5:1 before Simeone (81′) completed the humiliation of the Dutchman with the 6:1.

Liverpool – Rangers 2:0

Liverpool follow in the group with six points after a comfortable win over Glasgow Rangers. Coach Jürgen Klopp’s team won 2-0 (1-0) with goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold (7th) and Mohamed Salah (53rd) with a converted penalty kick and thus redeemed themselves somewhat for poor performances recently, such as in the 3rd :3 in the league against Brighton.

Frankfurt – Tottenham 0:0

Eintracht Frankfurt and the Swiss Nati star Djibril Sow (played through) can continue to hope for a place in the round of 16 in the Champions League. The Bundesliga side fought a 0-0 draw against Tottenham Hotspur and are third in Group D with four points – level on points with second-placed Spurs. In front of 50,500 spectators, the point gained for the Germans in the duel with the third-placed Premier League team around star striker Harry Kane was well deserved due to the improvement in performance in the second half. In the coming week there will be a trend-setting game in London. (flo/ni/dpa)
