Champions League: Linafoot performs well in qualifying TP Mazembe for the semi-final

TP Mazembe qualified for the semi-final of the Champions League by beating Petro Atletico (1-2) in Luanda after a draw (0-0) in Lubumbashi. On the set of Radio Okapi, the vice-president of the management commission of Linafoot Eugène Kabongo Ngoy threw flowers to the body where he is an executive indicating that the black and white club would have reached this level thanks to their preparation during Linafoot matches.

“It is a pleasure to see TP Mazembe qualify for the Champions League semi-final again, since it is not only the pride of Linafoot but that of the DRC and the whole of Africa. Seeing Mazembe at this level was made possible by the Linafoot matches during which TP Mazembe prepared until reaching this phase of the semi-final,” said Eugène Kabongo Ngoy.

In the process, Eugène Kabongo indicates that the qualification of TP Mazembe will play a very decisive role in recovering the fourth place lost by the DRC a year ago. “It was very important for Mazembe to qualify because it allows us to regain the place we had lost. We had four places in previous years but we lost a place last year, and thanks to TP Mazembe, we regained this fourth place that we had lost.

An executive within Linafoot, Eugène Kabongo Ngoy hopes that the club led by TP Mazembe will be able to gain strength to advance to the final. Everything will now come down to the preparation of the black and white squad.

“I think that at this stage of the Semi-Final, there is no more to think about. We must try to play, otherwise not to think too much, to be in a good physical, mental and moral state, and on this side, we must have enormous confidence in the TP Mazembe committee with its president at the head, Mr. Moïse Katumbi who knows how to motivate and manage the group; and we hope to see Mazembe in the final, which will be a very good thing for the DRC,” he said.
