Champions League: Müller pushes coach change debate to Brazzo Sports

These statements make you sit up and take notice!

19 days in office, four games, a dramatic cup defeat against Freiburg (1:2) and a probably decisive 0:3 in the first leg of the quarterfinals Champions League at Manchester City – Thomas Tuchel (49)’s first few weeks as the new coach FC Bayern reads brutally sobering.

The bosses had finally fired predecessor Julian Nagelsmann (35) because they had calculated chances for all titles with a new impulse. But within the past eight days, the first has already been lost and the handle pot has moved into the distant future.

Is the coach change effect after the 4:2 at BundesligaSo the summit against Dortmund has already fizzled out?

In any case, Thomas Müller’s (33) reaction to the question leaves room for interpretation. The fan favorite cryptically: “I will not comment on that, you can ask Hasan. The debate is of course explosive. If you look at the results, we had a bad result today.”

A telling silence!

After the final whistle at the Etihad Stadium, Müller was very positive about Tuchel, saying: “He’s been doing really well so far, we all feel very comfortable – even if today’s result gave us a punch in the pit of the stomach.”

Even his surprising debut on the bench under Tuchel does not change Müller’s opinion (substituted on in the 80th minute): “Of course everyone wants to be there. However, with a view to my role in particular, there is nothing that should push the ego to the fore. It was a decision you weren’t super happy with, but you can deal with it very well.”

Despite all the appreciation for his new coach, Müller does not actively deny that the surprising change of coach has not yet had the desired effect.

Instead, Bayern’s number 25 refers to Hasan Salihamidzic (46) in the “flammable debate”!

“I’m emotionally destroyed” Why Pep now has to take time off

And what does the responsible sports director say about the explosive question of the coach exchange? Brazzo: “This topic is nonsense after the game. The coach has adjusted the team really well in this short time. It wasn’t easy because we didn’t have that many training sessions. But everything was right.”

Salihamidzic disappointed: “I’m sorry for the squad that they didn’t reward themselves.” Home game against Hoffenheim.
