Facing the press, Charles Blé Goudé also wanted to convey a message of peace to his fellow citizens: “ I am here to call on all Ivorians to rally around our country, Côte d’Ivoire. I am here to also bring my compassion to all these Ivorians, some of whom had to bury their children brutally. It deserves our compassion, it deserves their forgiveness ».

“Leading the Ivorian people to peace”

At his side, the Minister of National Reconciliation, Koudio Konan Bertin, says he wants to continue to facilitate the return of people exiled following the 2010-2011 crisis. ” Before the arrival of Blé Goudé, there was that of President Gbagbo under the same conditions. Even before that of President Laurent Gbagbo, out of 300,000 Ivorians who were refugees abroad, more than 98% returned to the country. “, did he declare. And to add: It is a political will displayed by the power to lead the Ivorian people to peace, to reconciliation ».

Throughout the week, Charles Blé Goudé continues to receive his relatives. He should then return to his native village to observe a period of mourning, in memory of the members of his family who died in his absence.
