At the moment, only iPhone users running iOS 16.1 can download the app right now, only available on the App Store. For Android users, OpenAI clarified that ChatGPT will be coming to your devices “soon”.
Beyond better ergonomics, the ChatGPT application has the significant advantage of being able to converse with the chatbot without typing a single word. Indeed, you will be able to communicate directly with your voice thanks to an open source voice recognition system developed by OpenAI, which works in 99 languages.

Be wary, however, if you want to download the app. There are many unofficial replicas of ChatGPT on the Apple App Store. These applications use the color codes of the official tool to encourage Internet users to fill in their banking information to take advantage of all their options.
Cybersecurity researchers have also observed malicious fake ChatGPT apps on Android where the official app is not yet present.
