Cherry blossoms have fully bloomed in Kagoshima Prefecture. Around 500 cherry trees were in full bloom at Kirishima Mythology Village Park in Kirishima City despite thick clouds and light rain. The park also hosted a “Cherry Blossom Gathering” featuring a performance of the Kirishima Kumen Taiko drum and a “nettabo” made from rice cakes and sweet potatoes. Visitors were excited and entertained by the activities. The cherry blossoms at Kirishima Mythology Park are expected to remain in full bloom for the next three days. Photos of cherry blossoms from various locations in Kagoshima Prefecture have surfaced online, including Iwaya Park in Kawabe Town with approximately 1,000 cherry trees in full bloom, Shiroyama Park in Kirishima City with about 780 cherry trees in full bloom, and Kurojoka Park in Hoshigamine, Kagoshima City, where roughly 120 cherry trees are fully bloomed. Cherry blossoms in most famous locations of the prefecture, except those along the Kotsuki River in Kagoshima City, have already fully bloomed.
