With the LEGO 10321 Corvette, a new car from the LEGO Icons theme world was unveiled today. Contrary to what the rumor mill said a few months ago, the final set for the legendary Chevrolet sports car is not yellow but red. The Corvette, consisting of 1210 parts, is available from August 1st in VIP advance sales at a price of 149.99 euros. First of all, you can only use the set direct from LEGO order before it will probably also be available from selected other dealers at the end of the year.
All the details about the LEGO 10321 Corvette
The LEGO 10321 Corvette consists of 1210 parts and is 10 cm high, 32 cm long and 14 cm wide. As has been the norm with recent LEGO Icons cars, the 1961 Corvette C1 can be built in two different versions. Depending on your choice, either a coupé with a hardtop or a convertible can be built.
The license plates of the LEGO 10321 Corvette are also interchangeable, a total of three different ones are included that can be attached to the rear. While one of the license plates simply the name Corvette depicts, some allusions can be seen on the other two. GM 0937 is a reference to General Motors, the parent company of Chevrolet, and the LEGO logo turned upside down. C1 1961 is the model name and year of release of the car.
Unfortunately, the license plates are stickers. Additional stickers can be found on the engine block, trunk lid, steering wheel and side of the car. The rims and the logo on the hood are apparently prints after all.
LEGO 10321 Corvette features include the 2 opening doors, opening trunk and opening bonnet, which reveals the detailed engine compartment with rotating radiator fan and a working tie rod. The hardtop can also be removed to convert the coupe into a convertible.
