In short, the Chevrolet Tracker RS that was presented this week in China, goes beyond the simple ‘sports look’.
A couple of days ago, GM unveiled in China the new Chevrolet Tracker RSa version with sporty style and more performance of this successful SUV that also it is sold in Colombia. He surprised because, unlike other models of the brand, it is not limited to aesthetic decorations. In this case, a motor is included 1.5 liter turbo noticeably more powerful than in the rest of the range.
Now, with the disclosure of the images inside, came another big surprise. Although it was thought that the changes would remain in some red and black appliqués, and perhaps better quality materials, this model presents a completely different interior the one we knew until today.
Completely changed the board, now with two 10.25-inch digital screens that are integrated into a single block. In fact, the screen dedicated to the multimedia center is turned 9 degrees towards the driver. Besides, received new center consolegear lever, multifunction steering wheel and electronic parking brake.
Chevrolet Tracker RS: very interesting
Even with the adjustments to its interior and the details that identify it on the outside, the most important thing about the Chevrolet Tracker RS it’s under the hood. While the rest of the range has 1.0 and 1.2 liter Turbo engines, the latter we have in Colombia with 128 hp, this new model has a 1.5-liter turbo, 184 hp and 250 Nm.
Coupled with a CVT automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive, it declares acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. The maximum speed is not declared yet, but it should be around 200km/h.
Regarding the technological issue, both the digital board and the multimedia center they seem to be state of the artsince they do not correspond to the systems MyLink known from current Chevrolet models. It is not clear yet, but it could happen that this interior will be integrated later to conventional Trackers.
As for the Tracker RS, its official launch in China will take place tomorrow. The Asian country will be the first to market this new version, but its arrival in other regions is not ruled out like Latin America.
