“The issue of children’s safety in two districts – Grayvoronsky and Shebekinsky – is very acute”, declared on the evening of May 31, the head of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his telegram channel.

Gladkov said that he turned to the governors of the Voronezh, Tomsk, Penza, Kaluga and Yaroslavl regions, as well as the Stavropol Territory and the Republics of Crimea and North Ossetia-Alania with a request to help organize summer holidays for children and families with small children.

“They all responded to my request with great joy, for which I am infinitely grateful to them,” wrote Gladkov.

As a result, 300 children from the Shebekinsky district have already arrived in the Voronezh region. Tomorrow 200 people – mothers or grandmothers with small children – are leaving for the Penza region. On Saturday, 300 Grayvoronians leave for the Yaroslavl region and 300 Shebekintsy for the Kaluga region, Gladkov calculated.

The Lipetsk region is ready to receive 200 people. Another 200 will go to the Tomsk region. “A little far, but definitely safe,” the governor summed up.

Recall that recently the Belgorod region has been shelled daily by Ukraine. On May 30, several shells hit a temporary accommodation facility located in a sanatorium. One person died, two were injured.

On the night of May 31, Shebekino was fired upon again. According to the Belgorod governor, Grad shells shattered windows, slashed facades and roofs in eight apartment buildings and four private buildings, as well as in a school and two administrative buildings. One store burned down completely. Four are injured.

On the evening of May 31, Vyacheslav Gladkov reported about the situation in the Belgorod region to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Then he conducted a live broadcast with the residents of the region. At the end of the broadcast in Shebekino started again shelling.
