Victor Mark and Zara Vithian got married in 2015
A British court has jailed an actress and her husband, who works as a martial arts instructor, after convicting them of child sexual abuse offenses.
English actress Zara Fethian was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, along with her husband, Victor Mark.
Vithian is best known for her role in the American action movie “Doctor Strange” with Benedict Cumberbatch.
Victor Mark, alone without Vithian’s participation, was convicted of another charge of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.
At Nottingham Court, Phithian, 37, received an eight-year sentence, while her 59-year-old husband, Mark, received a 14-year sentence.
The judge considered that Victor Mark was “the driving force behind the commission of the crime”. Addressing Vithian, the judge said: “While you denied in questioning that you were under the control of Victor Marc, but on the basis of evidence, I have no doubt that your deviation occurred because of its influence on you early in your life.”

Phythian played a “black-haired fanatic” in Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
Vithian was taking martial arts lessons from Victor, before she mastered these arts, as well as a career in acting.
Mark, who hails from Nottinghamshire in central England, was convicted of four counts of indecent child abuse between 2002 and 2003.
Vithan married Victor in 2015. Together, the pair were convicted of 14 counts of child sexual abuse between 2005 and 2008.
Both denied the charges, but were convicted by jury and tried in the same court on Monday.
Mark received a four-year sentence for assault alone on a girl, then another 10 year sentence for assault with Vithian on another girl.
Vithian, who also hails from Nottinghamshire, received an eight-year sentence for her husband’s involvement in the assault on the second victim.

The judge held that Mark was “the driving force behind the crime of assault.”
In court, the first victim said Victor Mark “broke her mother’s heart”. In explaining the impact of the crime on the victim, the second victim before the court thanked the first woman for notifying the police.
The second victim added that she was a thirteen-year-old introverted child and thus was easy prey for the two offenders. She said, “You stripped me of my innocence and ruined my life. I became unable to establish good and moderate relations.”
As she was led to the cell, Vithian waved to the crowd as one of the women shouted, “I love you, Zara.”
