A report from the Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) reported that 5G could reach beyond one billion users this year. The implementation of this mobile internet network in Latin America has boosted its reach, and for this Chile, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic have been key.
This new technological tool to date has had a good deployment and managed to position Chile among the giants of the networks. And it is that the figures rose as the pandemic progressed and 5G was only responsible for promoting them more. In fact, remote places in the country also have operational 5G sites.
“Among the remote districts that already have 5G Movistar in regions, Pozo Almonte, Salamanca, Punitaqui, Hualqui and Pitrufquén can be highlighted,” says Cristian Schalscha, Director of the People and Home Market of Movistar Chile.

Lanfraanchi emphasizes that after these results “Chile is one of the countries with the most competitive environment among the 20 countries with the best speed.”
