China futures market sees higher trading in September 2023

BEIJING, October 15, 2023 (Xinhua) – China’s futures market recorded active trading in terms of transaction volume and value last month, according to the China Futures Association.

Data issued by the association showed that the total volume of transactions amounted to regarding 747 million lots last September, an increase of 28.05 percent year-on-year.

The data showed that the value of transactions in the market rose by 19.13 percent year on year to 51.48 trillion yuan (regarding 7.17 trillion US dollars).

The association said that during the first nine months of this year, the volume and value of transactions grew by 30.49 percent and 6.13 percent compared to the same period last year, respectively.
