Beijing: China says the US warship USS Chancellorville violated its territorial waters in South China. People’s Liberation Army spokesman Tian Junli said that this is a serious step that questions the country’s sovereignty and security.
The US has not responded. The incident happened near the Spratly Islands, which are disputed between China and Taiwan. Chinese President Xi Jinping asked US President Joe Biden during the G20 summit not to interfere in the Taiwan issue.
