China wins UN rights vote Western nations are open to discussing Uighur violations

China wins UN rights vote – 6 Oct. APReports that the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has voted by a majority to reject a motion from Western groups asking for discussions on human rights violations of Uighur Muslims in China.

The phenomenon was a diplomatic victory for the Chinese authorities over Western nations and their allies. After the official Bahrain, Turkey, England, United States and allied nations. The motion was rejected by China and its coalition, winning 19 to 17, 11 of which were absent.
