Chittagong’s ‘terrible fraudster’ Riyad bin Salim is finally in RAB’s net

Riyad bin Salim, who cheated hundreds of people by pretending to be the army, police, RAB and home ministry in Chittagong, has finally been caught in RAB’s trap. RAB was able to arrest him from Hajir Pole area under Chandgaon police station of Chittagong city.

This news was confirmed by RAB’s media wing on Saturday afternoon.

RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) Nurul Abshar said that Riyad bin Salim had been carrying out fraud for a long time by pretending to be an army officer, RAB, DB police officer, engineer, home ministry officer, university lecturer, top official of S Alam Group etc. . He is a car driver by profession. He used to extort money from various people by promising to do work.

Riyad bin Salim first started cheating by impersonating a DB officer. In 2019, in the hope of fulfilling his hobby, Riyadh prepared 1 fake identity card of Army Captain Padbir. Using that identity card, the Army Corps of Engineers tried to obtain financial benefits from various contractors. Apart from this, he was cheating with different identities.

Recently, this scammer threatened to file a case and issue an arrest warrant to a person named Abu Sufian by sending a short message on WhatsApp. When Abu Sufian made a written complaint to RAB-7 in this regard, RAB started intelligence surveillance on Riyadh.

Last Thursday night, RAB conducted a raid on the 2nd floor of a house in Hajir Pole area under Chandgaon police station in the city. In the raid, RAB was able to arrest this dreaded fraudster. After his arrest, Yaba recovered from him a bag in army camouflage color used in the deception.

The process of taking further legal action against him is underway.
