He did not give any order for the demolition of Tempi, said the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Christos Triandopoulos in the Parliament.
As reported by the ERT journalist, Emmanuela Argeiti, answers to the complaints that they want him as the person who gave the order for the demolition at the site of the tragic accident in Tempi, were given by the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection on the occasion of the report of the Member of Parliament of Hellenic Solution Mr. Bubba.
Mr. Triantafyllopoulos was clear saying that the role he had in this story in no way gave him the scope to give orders. As said by the officials who participated in the Coordinating Committee at the request of the Fire Department, they decided on the interventions based on the Special Human Loss Plan.
He clarified that “I did not give orders for anything, I did not have such a role, I did not participate in meetings of the coordinating body and I do not refer anywhere in the extra-judicial statement of Agorastos” as a little earlier Mr. Boubas had said that the name of Mr. Triandopoulos was also mentioned by the former regional governor of Thessaly, Mr. Agorastos and that he was the one who “pointed” to him as responsible for this order, pointing to Maximos and Mr. Triandopoulos.
Mr. Triandopoulos was particularly charged and decided to raise the gauntlet and respond to the challenge of the Hellenic Solution MP precisely to clarify his position and to be clear that he was not involved in this case in any other way, except that he was there on the spot, as he did not participate in the Coordinating Committee, while he also reiterated the Prime Minister’s commitment that a lot of light should be shed on this case, so that “never again” does not remain in words, but becomes a reality.
Specifically, Mr. Triandopoulos emphasized that “I did not give orders for anything, I did not have such a role, I did not have such authority, I did not participate in the meetings of the Coordination Committee. A simple search of the minutes confirms this. I am not referring to the out-of-court response of Kostas Agorastos and someone can simply confirm this. After all, the former regional governor has also stated it twice. I was and always am clear. I was there to help those who ventured into this difficult situation. With respect to the parents I don’t think any of us can feel their drama. With respect and to justice which is the one that will shed light on everything, as we all want, with concern, as the prime minister underlined, that the never again slogan finally becomes a reality”.
