Chrissy Teigen donates $ 200,000 to save protesters in the United States.
The 34-year-old model offered financial support to demonstrators in riots in various cities in the country after President Donald Trump declared “MAGA Night” in the White House on Saturday (May 30, 2018).
The outspoken star, who is married to musician John Legend, wrote on Twitter: “To celebrate F ** k Maga Night, I committed to donating $ 100,000 to rescue demonstrators across the country. (Sic ) ”
And after a Twitter user called the demonstrators “rioters and criminals,” Chrissy replied, “Oh, they might need more money. Earn $ 200,000.”
In the meantime, Selena Gomez has insisted that she cannot “sit still” after George Floyd’s death.
The star of the charts went to Instagram to express their anger over social injustice when protests appeared on the streets of Minneapolis in numerous cities across the U.S. in response to Floyd’s death.
Selena – who has 178 million followers on the photo sharing platform – wrote: “I’ve spent the past 24 hours processing everything. Nothing that someone says can take back what happened. But we can and we all have to make sure this happens. ” Take action. Too many black lives have been taken from us for far too long. You deserve better. You deserve to be heard. We all have to do better and not sit still while this injustice continues. #blacklivesmatter #justiceforgeorgefloyd #icantbreathe (sic) ”
Derek Chauvin and three other police officers were released after pictures of him knelt on Floyd’s neck.
The former Minneapolis policeman was later charged with murder in protests across the country.
