Islamabad: In Pakistan, four Christian mosques were destroyed by mobs who accused Christians of insulting the Koran. The incident took place in Pakistan’s Faisalabad district.

The looted were Salvation Army Church, United Presbyterian Church, Allied Foundation Church and Sharonwali Church located in Isa Nagri area. There were reports of violent mobs setting fire to a shrine and damaging other places of worship.

The people gathered when the allegations came out that Raja Amir, a native of Jaranwala, had insulted the Quran by his friend and Christian. Then they stormed into the Christian colony and destroyed churches and houses.

They also demolished the house of Raja Amir who was accused of blasphemy. The police said that efforts are being made to ensure peace in the area, a case has been registered and appropriate action will be taken to find those who vandalized the temples.
