Many changes will take place in December 2022. They can potentially impact your wallet. We take stock.
Christmas bonus
This year, the christmas bonus will be paid from December 15. It concerns beneficiaries of the active solidarity income (RSA), the lump sum bonus for resumption of activity, the specific solidarity allowance (ASS) and the pension equivalent allowance (AER).
This year, the amount will be between 152.45 euros and 442.10 euros depending on your household. The amount may even be higher for large families.
In 2021, 2.3 million people had benefited from it.
Exceptional energy check(s)
It will soon arrive in 12 million people. Announced in September by the government, this exceptional measure decided on the basis of inflation will supplement the energy check already sent each year during the second quarter.
For French people whose 2021 reference tax income (calculated on the basis of 2020 income) is less than 10,800, the amount of the check will be 200 euros. For the others and up to 17,400 euros, it will be halved, i.e. 100 euros.
The timetable is not yet clearly posted but the government indicates that the payments will begin in December.
As indicated MoneyVoxsome tenants of social housing will also be entitled to aid of 600 euros set up by Action Logement.
This requires having suffered an “increase in charges greater than 100 euros per month or facing a regularization of charges greater than 1,000 euros over the last 12 months”, and having a remainder to live “less than 15 euros per day”. The files can be constituted from December 12
In total, 75,000 households should be entitled to it.
Wood check
The measure was adopted in early November by the National Assembly and recently detailed by Gabriel Attal in The Parisian.
The Minister Delegate for Public Accounts explained that the counter would open “Thursday, December 22. All you have to do is log in to the site. chequeenergie.gouv.fr and enter their teledeclaration number and invoice”.
To claim it: earn a maximum of €2,260 per month for a single person and up to €4,750 for a couple with two children. This boost will go from 50 to 200 euros.
Repair Bonuses
It’s a welcome new boost for our home appliances. the repair bonus comes into force December 15 to promote the circular economy.
“This repair bonus constitutes a flat rate of 10 to 45 euros calculated according to each type of device to be repaired”, specifies France Info. In total, the government plans to inject nearly 410 million euros into this system until 2027, as part of the Agec law.
31 equipment will be eligible. Among them, filter coffee machines, vacuum cleaners, drill-drivers, home cinema, musical instruments, game consoles, washing machines, fridge freezers, tablets or even video projectors. Bicycles and scooters are also affected.
Family allowances
As every year, we will know the amount of the revaluation of family allowances around mid-December. Last year, the ceilings were raised by 0.2%, recalls MoneyVox.
Taxes
It is possible to correct your tax return until December 14. It is also possible until mid-December to monthly pay your property tax for next year, specifies MoneyVox.
In the event of a major salary change, you can also adjust your withholding tax rate this month to prevent the rate of your previous income tax return from applying.
