Cicpc: Buying and selling a vehicle with a private document is a crime

They must go to a notary to formalize the negotiation.

To finalize the purchase-sale of the vehicle, the Vehicle Registration Certificate known as the property title must be requested and the person who appears on the document is the one who must sign at the notary to formalize the negotiation “not through a private document because falls into a crime of private action or a fraud that is a crime of criminal action”.

The information was released by the head of the National Directorate of Vehicle Robbery and Theft Investigations of the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations Corps (Cicpc), C/G Jesús Ramírez in an interview conducted on the Café en La Mañana program broadcast by Venezuelan Television.

In it, he also explained the process that must be carried out when making a modification to the vehicle, such as the request for an invoice with detailed specifications of the part to be modified, such as serial numbers, color, etc., and take it to the National Police office. Bolivariana (PNB) or the Cicpc to carry out the expertise and request the change of status through the Intt, supported by an imprint.
