Salzburg – The city senate of the city of Salzburg voted unanimously on Monday in favor of abolishing the entertainment tax at the beginning of 2025. Previously, organizers of concerts, cabaret, cabaret, dance or club culture had to pay four percent of their ticket revenue as a municipal tax. This resulted in additional administrative effort and costs. The city is now complying with a long-standing demand from the cultural sector and foregoing around 350,000 euros in income per year.
