Ke Jianming posted a post on Facebook early this morning to look back on the history of law revisions. He said that the debate over the threshold for recall was triggered by Nuclear Fourth. On June 30, 1994, the four committees of the Legislative Yuan, including economics and budget, jointly reviewed the review. The annual budget of the fourth factory was 112.5 billion yuan. On the same day, there was an anti-nuclear petition with thousands of people in front of the Legislative Yuan. Ke Jianming said that this recall campaign received considerable repercussions, and the goal was to vote together with the provincial governor election on December 3 of that year. On April 14 of the same year, the Internal Affairs Committee passed the preliminary review. The draft amendment to the “Election and Recall Law” deleted the stipulation that recalls should not be publicized, and the reduction and recall was passed. Ke Jianming pointed out that in the process of amending the law in 2016, the power of the times advocated that a “simple majority vote” should be adopted to pass the recall and abolish the threshold for the voter turnout. He continued to criticize and abuse him, insulting him and the DPP with words such as anti-democracy and forgetting the original intention after he came into power.
