Clarification from “Ejar” regarding the procedure to be followed in the event that one of the parties to the contract refuses to document it • Al Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: The “Ejar” network of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing clarified how the landlord or tenant would act if one of them refused to document the contract.

The clarification of “Rent” came in its response to a query from a person, in which he said: “I am a citizen living in a rental apartment without an electronic contract. What is the work of the property owner who refuses to settle an electronic contract and raise the rent in Jeddah, Al-Fayhaa neighborhood, to cover up the property.”

The network stated that documenting the contract is “mandatory” through the network, and in the event that one of the parties refuses to document the contract, it can be authenticated by entering the “contractual status registration” icon, following the documentation requirements are met on the “rent” website.
