“Given the infrastructure situation that several schools in the province are going through, Aten calls a provincial strike with mobilization in La Confluencia,” reported the general secretary of ATEN Neuquén himself, Marcelo Guagliardo.
In this way, teachers from all over the province will join what was announced in the last few hours by Angélica Lagunas, the general secretary of ATEN capital.
On Tuesday in schools will take place the institutional day, so there will be no classes either.
«During the morning of this Saturday we were evaluating the situation in various establishments in the province and the fact that school 254 with a fire situation, we thought it was something that we should not let go of”, added.
“The government must give urgent responses to the claims raised. Safe schools for teachers and students”, indicates the Guagliardo statement.
«They have to solve all the situations in the schools now. We want classes to be in safe schools.” Lagunas had said on Friday.
The concentration for the mobilization will be at 10, at the monument to San Martin.
The shortcomings in the schools that ATEN exposed
From the Neuquén teachers’ union they exposed some of the situations that Neuquén schools are going through. «The provincial government does not finish meeting the fair demands that are made from each management team. They maintained that the CFP 34 of Senillosa, CFP 14 and EPA 14 of Plottier are in the same situation. They added that there are shortcomings in the city of Rincón de la Sauces (Garden 47), Cutral Co (Garden 4 and 5 and Schools 102, 172, CPEM 58 and 85). Albergue and CPEM 14 of Aluminé, and EPET 26 of El Chañar.
They added that there are situations of general infrastructure in CPEM 40, 70, EPET 6 and 7, School 356, Special School N 12,1 CEF 20 of Loncopué, Picún and Junín de los Andes Camp Plants, adequate spaces for education in context of confinement, among others.
