CNE received a proposal to formulate regulations for voting abroad

Caracas.- Representatives of the National Electoral Council received a proposal for a regulation to establish a new regulation of the exercise of suffrage for Venezuelans residing abroad, as reported by the rector of the CNE and supervisor of the commission in charge of the proposal, Enrique Márquez.

Márquez assured in his official account on the social network Twitter that he submitted a “concrete proposal” before the plenary session of the authorities of the electoral entity, who will soon define a date to evaluate it and make a decision in this regard.

“It is now up to this body to define the moment to deal with such an important matter. We continue to work,” said Márquez’s message.

The body in charge of electoral processes in Venezuela announced in previous days through the main rector, Roberto Picón, that it was working on proposals for regulations and procedures that facilitate the updating of the registry and the exercise of the vote by Venezuelans abroad.
