The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that, “At about six o’clock (0300 GMT), two groups of Ukrainian army saboteurs, numbering up to sixty people, disembarked from seven boats (…) three kilometers north-east of the Zaporizhia station. nuclear”. The ministry added that it had taken “measures to eliminate the enemy.”

The agency’s team is expected to visit the Zaporizhia station on Thursday, which is the largest in Europe and is under the control of the Russian army, and its site was bombed several times, raising fears of a nuclear disaster.

“We demand that Russia stop its provocations and allow the International Atomic Energy Agency access to this Ukrainian nuclear facility,” Orlov said.

On Wednesday, the Ukrainians accused the Russians, who control Energodar and the station, of bombing the city with the intention of holding the Ukrainian forces responsible.

Moscow and Kiev constantly exchange accusations over the targeting of the Ukrainian nuclear plant Zaporizhia.
