With great satisfaction, the population of the corregimiento La Buitrera, received the day of attention on the offer of services of the Care for the Elderly program and around the payments of the Colombia Mayor subsidy; Provided by the Ministry of Social Welfare.
“We continue to reach the territories, to the twelve Vida Centers of the Mayor’s Office of Cali, to all the communes and corregimientos of the rural area. There are about 27 thousand elderly people attended this year 2023. All benefited from the offer of services we provide and with advice on the payments of the Colombia Mayor subsidy”, said Carlos Andrés Cortés Moreno, leader of the Care Program for the Elderly.
For his part, the representative of the elderly from La Buitrera, Mr. Raúl Mina, 83 years old, expressed his gratitude for the journey received and for the health, food and well-being services that they currently receive from the District Administration. .

“It’s the best thing they’ve ever done. We found out about Colombia Mayor, news, clarifications, payment points, and attention for us,” said Mr. Raúl, highlighting the joint work between the Mayor’s Office of Cali and the Valle del Cauca Governor’s Office for the benefit of his community.
The Colombia Mayor subsidy is a monetary aid that benefits nearly 47,000 seniors in Cali; considered vulnerable, helpless population, who lack a pension, live in indigence or in a situation of poverty.
