The National Arbitration Commission of the Colombian Football Federation, in exercise of its autonomy and independence for the direction and administration of national arbitration, reports that on February 21, a crucial meeting was held with the presence of the president of the Colombian Federation of Soccer (FCF) and the President of the Major Division of Colombian Soccer (DIMAYOR). The main purpose of this meeting was to exhaustively analyze the performance of the referees designated to direct Colombian Professional Soccer matches.

After listening to the reports and considerations presented by the presidents of the FCF and DIMAYOR, the National Arbitration Commission took appropriate measures within its scope of competence. These measures focused on establishing plans and strategies aimed at improving the technical level of referees and optimizing the use of the Video Referee Assistance (VAR) tool in national arbitration.

The Commission’s commitment is to work in collaboration with the relevant football authorities to guarantee that arbitration in Colombian Professional Football reaches the highest standards of quality and sporting justice.
