Today, space scientists continue to record amazing new discoveries, the latest of which is a giant hole that was spotted on the surface of Mars, resembling a human ear.

The hole, which resembles a human ear, is 1.8 kilometers wide, and was observed in the northern hemisphere of Mars, and described as NASA It is an example of pareidolia, which causes us to imagine familiar faces or patterns in things.
Describing the new crater, NASA said: “In this case, we’re looking at a strangely shaped impact crater that looks very much like an ear, and once you see it, it’s almost impossible to tell that it’s a crater, and all we see is a big ear.”
The image was taken by the US Space Agency’s Mars Exploration Rover, a reconnaissance rover that set out on a journey of more than 291 kilometers above the surface in September 2020.
What is the vehicle that discovered the new crater?
The rover, which has been orbiting and studying the planet since 2006, is using an imaging technology nicknamed HiRise to study the geology and climate of Mars, and this isn’t the first time it has spotted human-like parts on the Red Planet.
Earlier, the orbiter picked up a crater on Mars that resembles Said’s face near its south pole, while a European rover found an eyeball-like crater, last June.
Another crater discovered by HiRise in 2018 was said to resemble arcade favorite Pac-Man in full chew mode, while the following year the same craft found what appeared to be an E and T imprinted on the planet’s surface.
