Kato: I knew that the manga was very popular at the beginning, but I only read the original manga after I was sure that I received the role of Becky. Did you encounter any interesting things while dubbing?

Eguchi: At the time of the recording, Japan was still in a period of severe epidemic. Everyone recorded separately. I did it with the members of “Fojie Family”, including Yoko (Hayami Saori), Ania (Tanezaki Atsumi), Peng De (Matsuda Kenichiro).

Everyone has a relatively quiet personality, and there is often silence after recording, but because of similar personalities, they really live together like a family, which makes people feel very comfortable.

Kato: In the part where George sings with everyone! When I watched the anime, I sang in chorus, but I recorded it individually. I was the first person to enter the recording studio to sing. I felt a little embarrassed at the moment, but the actual finished product is great.

When dubbing, what do you think you should pay special attention to?

Eguchi: Lloyd’s father’s voice will be relatively calm. In spy mode, because you have to consider the next move, there will be a lot of thoughts in your head, so the speed of speech must increase accordingly. When playing with Lloyd in spy mode, I often eat What about the screws?

As a father, Lloyd is the image of everyone’s ideal good father, and as a spy, he is a spy who is isolated from the world and has a professional sense. The gap between the two is very large, but fundamentally, they are both “Lloyd”. No matter who they are, everyone will have different aspects.

How do you think you are the same/different from the voice actor?

Eguchi: Except for the sound, it’s not the same at all! Lloyd is the perfect and capable image, and I am very casual, almost the complete opposite. However, compared to characters who are very similar to myself, it is easier to find characteristics from characters with different personalities, and the process of trying to figure it out goes smoothly.

Kato: I don’t really want Ania’s ability to read minds. From a realistic point of view, it may be very hard. Ania is really strong… I prefer Pender’s ability to predict the future. It is easy to be thanked by the other party and feel very lonely.
