Communities affected by heavy rains in Caracas are assisted

The mayor of CaracasCarmen Meléndez reported on the deployment of teams to assist the affected communities after the rains recorded on Monday in the country’s capital.

Through its account On the social network Instagram, Meléndez indicated that at night he made a tour of the city to supervise the work carried out to serve the people, after the heavy rains.

The mayor explained that in the Santa Teresa parish, on Avenida Sur 4, corner of Mamey, a mahogany tree collapsed, affecting infrastructure, and assured that no one was harmed.

“The teams responded to the emergency with specialized equipment and supported the community at all times,” he added.

In addition, in the Los Laureles sector of Cota 905, in the El Paraíso parish, the rains caused landslides. To address this situation, a multidisciplinary team from the Caracas Mayor’s Office, Civil Protection and Hidrocapital was deployed.
