The situation has become worse in Mauritius than in Rodrigues. For the first time since the new epidemic, the number of active dengue fever cases is higher in Mauritius than in Rodrigues.
Indeed, on Monday, there were 22 cases in Mauritius and only 14 in Rodrigues. Nevertheless, for the moment, on the total number of dengue fever cases detected since June 3, Rodrigues is still ahead of Mauritius. In the small island, 47 cases have been recorded once morest 33 in Mauritius, i.e. 29 local and 4 imported. The cases have been detected in the following regions: Grand-Baie, Beau Bassin, Baie du Tombeau, Port Louis, Riche Terre, Lallmatie, L’Escale, Rivière des Créoles, Goodlands, Vacoas and Trou d’eau Douce among others. Everything suggests that Maurice will overtake Rodrigues in the days that follow.
