Apple TV + in turn increases its prices.

STREAMING – Apple TV + follows the trend. The streaming platform announced in several media to increase the price of its monthly subscription by 3 euros, going from 4.99 euros at launch, then to 6.99 euros a year ago, to now 9.99 euros per month .

The increase is effective now for new subscribers. And for those who have already subscribed, the increase will be effective no later than 30 days depending on their renewal date, according to an Apple spokesperson interviewed by the American channel NBNC.

This increase is not an isolated case. Netflix, Disney + and Prime Video have in turn recently announced that they are increasing their prices. So, how much does each of these subscriptions cost now? Le HuffPost takes stock below.

Netflix

In mid-October, Netflix announced that it would increase its prices. An announcement which concerns the “Essential” and “Premium” formulas. Now count on 10.99 euros per month for the first (compared to 8.99 euros before) and 19.99 euros per month for the second (compared to 17.99 euros previously). The “Standard” offers with or without do not change: they are still at 5.99 and 13.49 euros.

Disney +

This is the end of the single subscription at 8.99 euros per month to Disney +. From November 1, said single offer is replaced by three offers. The first starts at 5.99 euros per month and now includes before playing the programs. The second is a “Standard” subscription without , at 8.99 euros monthly or 89.90 €/year. The “Premium” subscription is more expensive because of the image quality it offers (4K Ultra HD and HDR): it costs 11.99 euros per month, or €119.90/year.

Prime Video

Like Netflix and Disney +, Prime Video wants to add before its content. This ad-supported offer will launch in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada in early 2024 before France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Australia during the year. The price of the standard Prime subscription will not be changed. However, subscribers will be able to opt for ad-free content for a few extra euros.

For the moment, its price remains unchanged in France: 6.99 euros per month. There is also a more advantageous offer at €69.90/year. To which you must also add 9.99 euros if you wish to benefit from the Warner Pass (which includes HBO productions, such as The White Lotus et Succession).

Apple TV +

As said above, Apple TV + is also increasing its prices. Since its launch in France in 2019, the platform has doubled the price: you will now need 9.99 euros per month to watch Ted Lasso, The Changeling or Foundation.

myCANAL

Price-wise, things aren’t changing at Canal+. The Ciné series pack, which includes in addition to the main channel access to OCS, Disney +, Canal + Séries, Netflix and Apple TV +, costs €34.99 per month for 12 months then €45.99 per month thereafter. As a reminder, the platform is today the only one to benefit from the media chronology and thus be able to broadcast films released in cinemas in preview.

THE BAD

Less general public than its sisters, the MUBI platform, which The world described in 2020 as a “ movie library just a click away ”, has also seen its prices increase since its launch. The 9.99 euros per month without commitment is now 11.99 euros.

Paramount +

As for Paramount +, available in France since 2022, its subscription is 7.99 euros monthly. At least, for now.
