Rwandan President Paul Kagame was welcomed at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport in Conakry by the President of the Guinean Transition.

After a brief interview between Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya and his host, in the honor lounge of the presidential pavilion at the airport, the latter spoke to the national press. In a brief statement, Paul Kagame expressed his satisfaction at being in Guinea at the invitation of Colonel Doumbouya and the welcome he received.

He also expressed his willingness to work with Guinea in “the framework of open cooperation”.

After this visit, he invited Colonel Mamady Doumbouya to visit the land of the Radio des Milles Collines (Rwanda).

However, this invitation might come up once morest the sanctions of ECOWAS which prohibits the head of the Guinean junta and several of his collaborators from traveling.
