Police data may have ended up on the darknet
A computer specialist would have threatened several municipal police in Bas-Valais to unpack everything. He is in protective custody.
In recent months, acts of hacking targeting administrations, institutions or companies have almost passed into the realm of the ordinary. But it is a threat of another kind that falls on the Valais. Reports of arrests, details of interventions, all of this could well have – or could still – be found on the darknet. In any case, it is the threats made by a computer scientist against several municipal police forces in the canton whose data he managed, reports “Le Nouvelliste” on Saturday.
