Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has revealed that he’s not very happy with Apple’s Vision Pro mixed reality headset. During an interview with Saagar Enjeti and Krystal Ball about “Breaking Points,” Dorsey shared his concerns about a future society consumed by augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies. .

Dorsey’s remarks are said to come from his observations that such immersive technologies may lead to social disconnection between users. While emphasizing the need for a balanced approach, recognizing the gaming potential and developments in user interface offered by headphones such as Apple’s Vision Pro, he also expressed concern about disconnection. “If you want to understand the future of any technology, just read science fiction,” said Dorsey, who is currently the CEO of payment service Square. “They are actually road map writers.”
During the discussion, Dorsey explored the interplay between advances in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and the world of science fiction literature.
