Congolese health authorities announce 475 cases of monkeypox and 9 deaths

Al-Arabiya TV reported that the health authorities in the Congo announced 475 cases of monkeypox and 9 deaths in the country.

There are two types or vital branches of the monkeypox virus, as this virus is divided into the following two groups, the Central African monkeypox virus, and this type is characterized by causing more severe symptoms than the other type, and causing higher rates of death, and the process of transmission from one person to another through Contact documented, West African monkeypox virus, which causes less severe symptoms than the other type, and the process of transmission from person to person by contact is limited.
