This couple from the United States became a sensation on the internet because of their 37-year age difference. Cheryl McGregor is 62 years old and has 17 grandchildren dating Quran McCain, a 25 year old man.
Cheryl and Quran’s love journey was documented by both of them on their social media. Both of them really want to have children, even though Cheryl already has seven children and 17 grandchildren.
With an age that is no longer possible to get pregnant, the controversial couple took a shortcut by hiring a surrogate mother. Unfortunately, Cheryl and Koran were tricked by the surrogate mother’s services.
The couple admitted that they were defrauded of more than US$13,000 or around Rp.193 million by the prospective surrogate mother. The surrogate mother, who was not named, also breached the contract by having sex with her husband while the egg was fertilized.
Koran admits that they are now bankrupt because all of their money has been given for the services of the surrogate mother.
“We were totally broke. We weren’t paid for our content. And then the surrogate went and left us out of money,” Quran said as quoted by Indy100.
Koran admits that he was hit by the fraud incident that happened to him and his partner, but he did not give up on continuing to have biological children. “We still want the baby,” she admits.
The love story between the two of them went viral and received a lot of criticism. Quran met Cheryl when she was 15 years old in 2012.
At that time he worked at a fast food restaurant run by Cheryl’s son. At first there was no romantic relationship between the two.
The two met again in 2020 and it was then that Quran saw Cheryl as attractive to the point that he dated her and wanted to have a serious committed relationship.
