A rather particular situation arose in recent weeks and involved the author of the popular franchise of Tejina Senpai, Fish. The author, who has a page in PIXIV FANBOX (where fans can donate money and make requests), shared a hentai doujinshi requested by one of his followers. As you can see in the image, in this doujinshi you can see that the protagonist sleeps with several men.
It is quite common these days for authors to ‘desecrate’ their own works to get some extra income from their fans. For this, they simply have to be careful in promoting their drawings, since they should not mention that it is about their characters, but simply publish their illustrations without mentioning the registered franchises.
However, not all fans of the Tejina Senpai franchise were happy with this “official desecration” by the author, so they rushed to complain on social networks and even modify the franchise’s Wikipedia page, adding paragraphs to the description of the protagonist as: «According to the official description provided by the author, Tejina maintains physical relations with several men».
This, by surprise, really upset the author, who went to his official page on PIXIV FANBOX and shared a statement with his opinion on the matter: «I found out that some scum desecrated the “Tejina Senpai” Wikipedia page shortly after I posted this doujinshi. Keep in mind that all the characters, including the main characters, are virgins. Consider this when you see my hentai illustrations. What sense does it make then that they write all this? This is precisely why hentai illustrations are only for adults, physically and mentally!».
This was the worst move the author could have taken. Paying attention to haters is the last thing a personality should do (unless their attacks get personal), so few understand why Azu reacted this way. The pressure was such that Azu ended up abandoning her PIXIV FANBOX page and eventually her Twitter account, so all that remains are screenshots of everything that happened.
