Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp will have right ankle surgery on Wednesday and will be out for at least four weeks, but it already makes sense to believe he could miss the rest of the season.
His head coach Sean McVay confirmed on Tuesday that his name had been put on the crippled list. The Rams’ tough campaign, if prolonged, could tempt them to keep Kupp on the siding for an extended amount of time. The defending Super Bowl champions are 3-6 after losing 27-17 to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. In addition, they had to manage without their quarterback Matthew Stafford, under concussion protocol.
Kupp had 812 yards and six touchdowns on 75 receptions this year. He was named the most valuable player of the last final.
