Cops who went to find the stolen autorickshaw were beaten up: the accused is under arrest

Marayur: The police officers who came to investigate the case of the missing auto-rickshaw parked in the theater premises after coming to watch the movie were beaten up. Marayur ASI Bobby M. Thomas (46), CPO: N.S. Santosh was also injured.
Rajesh (Chinna-33), a native of Babu Nagar, who carried out the attack, was arrested by the police. Pandiraj, a native of Meladi, had come in an autorickshaw with his family on Wednesday night to watch a movie. When he came out during the break, the autorickshaw was nowhere to be found. After the complaint was filed, the police immediately started an investigation. After getting the information, they reached Rajesh’s house and found the autorickshaw. Following this, the accused attacked Rajesh while he was trying to catch him. Rajesh was caught on the spot. An autorickshaw was also found from the house. Rajesh is accused in many cases. The beaten up police officers are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Marayur. The accused was produced in the Devikulam court yesterday evening.
