Coronavirus in France: the results of this Monday, January 10

The Omicron variant is hitting the country hard. Daily update on the Covid-19 epidemic in France, with figures from Public Health France and the Ministry of Health.

Contamination

This Monday, January 10, 93,896 contaminations were recorded in 24 hours. (An insignificant figure because fewer people get tested on Sunday)

Hospitalizations

At the hospital, the number of Covid patients continues to increase, with 22,749 patients (against 21,982 the day before), including 2,543 new admissions.

3,904 patients were hospitalized in critical care departments, reserved for the most serious cases (against 3,847 the day before).

Deaths

In 24 hours, 281 people succumbed to Covid-19 in hospital, bringing the total death toll to 125,718 since the start of the epidemic.

The vaccination

On the vaccination side, more than 53.3 million people have received at least one injection (i.e. 79.1% of the total population) and more than 52 million have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 77.2% of the total population).
