That’s why it will offer a bonus of around $940 (£600) to its employees who earn less than $44,600 (£30,000) a year. According to Sun, this measure will be financed by Her Majesty’s personal fund. No taxpayer money will be used.
A hundred valets and servants will benefit from this increase. This amount will be added to their salary for the month.
However, these are not the only employees who will be entitled to a bonus.
Employees with annual salaries between £30,000 and £40,000 will receive £400. Those earning between £40,000 and £45,000 will get £350. Single people will receive £200.
“The King wanted to put in place targeted measures that will help those who need it most,” said an anonymous source.
These bonuses will cost the King several tens of thousands of dollars. Note that Buckingham Palace refused to answer questions from the BBC on the subject.
