Probably not what Boston students want to hear: The new school year is fast approaching.
Boston Public Schools will welcome students back to the classroom on September 7, less than a month away. Kindergarten students will begin class on September 11.
On Wednesday, Mayor Michelle Wu is expected to discuss the ongoing preparations for the new school year.
Wu will be joined by Boston Public Schools Superintendent Mary Skipper, Street Chief Jascha-Franklin-Hodge, Deputy Street Chief for Transportation Nick Gove and staff from the Boston Department of Transportation for a press conference at the Trotter Elementary School in Roxbury.
