The Wolfe family is growing just in time for Christmas

After years of struggle and perseverance to have children, Zac and Brittney Wolfe moved towards adoption, and welcomed a little girl named Charlie into their home in July 2022. A few months later, Knox, Navie and Noa arrived in the world, after In Vitro fertilization.

“Knox, Noa and Navie decided it was time to make their big appearance at 30 weeks and 5 days! ” the Wolfes said on Facebook in October.

Arriving prematurely, the babies and their mother are doing very well. Thanks to the professionalism of the doctors and the medical team, the delivery went very well. The babies then stayed at Penn Highlands Hospital, DuBois, for 50 days before returning home.

“We are lucky to have our entire family in time for Christmas,” the Wolfes said in a statement to People magazine in December 2023. “We have developed a precise schedule so that we too can rest! “. “In fact, from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., babies consume 13 bottles. So, it’s very painful and tiring! Fortunately, our family members are very supportive and helpful! This is truly the best Christmas present we could ever hope for!” continue the new parents.

This experience was an incredible experience for the Wolfes, a true blessing, they declare in a Facebook post.

After being in a car accident in July 2011 that left him with a spinal cord injury, Zac found himself in a wheelchair. He and Brittney knew each other well before that. After the tragedy, the couple quickly became closer. The two lovebirds got engaged in 2013 in Pittsburgh, then married two years later.

After their marriage, Zac and Brittney tried as best they could to have children but to no avail. “After both undergoing numerous tests, it was found that we were indeed capable of procreating.” Zac said.

For the next five years, the couple continued to hope for children. But fertility problems arose forcing Zac and Brittney to spend approximately $100,000 on intrauterine insemination and IVF treatments with no results!

It’s not how we become parents that matters!

The Wolfes’ desire to start a family was greater than anything! And they weren’t going to give up for so little! In fact, the couple created a website where they explain their desire to adopt a child.

“We both always dreamed of having a big family, and infertility made us realize that it’s not how we parent that matters to us. It’s parenthood itself, and it steered us toward adoption,” the couple wrote.

In 2022, a neighbor informed the Wolfes that a woman wanted to give her daughter up for adoption and the latter became, on July 27 of the same year, the adopted daughter of Zac and Brittney.
In the meantime, and while looking to adopt a second time, the couple heard about embryo fostering. The Wolfes, always ready to do anything to make their dream come true, therefore gave it a try!

After failure, great success!

The first embryo transfer was a failure for the Wolfes. But in April this year, the implantation went well and doctors told the couple they were expecting triplets.

The triplets were born by cesarean section on October 19, 2023, and the happy parents had to endure a short, exhausting period of trips back and forth to the hospital to visit the premature babies, before finally being home with family in full.

What is embryo reception?

According to procreation-medicale.fr, the reception of embryos allows people with fertility problems to receive one or more frozen embryos produced during AMP (Medical Assistance in Reproduction). These are designed for later use by a couple or a single woman. However, if the latter no longer have a parental plan, the embryos can be given to those who are unable to procreate.
