Covid-19 booster vaccination postponed for teachers

The Federal Health Secretariat reported that vaccination of covid-19 booster for educational personnel, scheduled to begin on Saturday, January 8, will be postponed.

The agency pointed out that due to weather conditions in the United States, the shipment with biologics from the Moderna pharmaceutical company will arrive in our country late and the new start date for immunization will be announced.

In the original plan, teachers and teachers of 16 states in the country would receive their booster vaccine against covid-19 on January 8, while five days later, 1.5 million more doses will be supplied to teachers in the rest of the country.

Likewise, the agency highlighted that 82 million 114 thousand 490 people have been vaccinated against covid-19 in Mexico.

Of these, 90 percent, that is, 72 million 979 thousand 978 have a complete scheme, and nine million 134 thousand 512 have at least one dose and represent 10 percent.
